Youth 17 years old and under do not require a fishing stamp.
Prices above reflect the addition of the prerequisite tribal general license and habitat stamp. There may be an additional vendors fee. Licenses/permits will expire December 31 in the year of issuance.

TOURNAMENTS / CONTESTS / DERBIES
The Department of Game, Fish and Parks shall be notified and an application submitted no less than one month in advance for permission to hold a fishing tournament.
The department will host tournaments throughout the year. For more information check with your local vendor, area newspaper, or contact the Department of Game, Fish and Parks at 605-747-2289.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
It is unlawful to:
-Refuse to show permit to tribal official.
-Attempt to or take fish, frogs or turtles without a valid permit/license.
-Misrepresent a permit/license.
-Alter/transfer a permit/license.
-Waste fish, frogs or turtles.
-Possess more than the allowed creel limit.
-Fish with more than two lines during open water seasons.
-Fish with more than five lines through the ice.
-Have no more than two hooks per line, except lures count as one hook.
-Have an ice hole larger than 12 inches in diameter.
-Leave refuse on the ice.-Seine game fish (carp are non-game).
-Use explosive devices.
-Use a minnow seine greater than 4 feet wide, 15 feet long with a mesh no larger than 1/4 inch square.
-Sell minnows on the reservation without a business license.
-Use whole game fish for bait.
-Empty contents of bait buckets into waters of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.
-Use minnows in either Ironwood or Chases the Woman Lakes.
-Sell game, fish, frogs or turtles.
-Use spears, spear guns, firearms or bow and arrow on game fish (rough fish may be taken with the above, except firearms).
-Use fish arrow that does not have a barbed head.
-Use less than a 25-pound draw.
-Use a fish arrow not attached to weapon by a line.
PUNISHMENT
Tribal members will be referred to the tribal court system. Non-member violations will be sent through the federal court system under the authority of USC 1165.
A fine of up to $500 may be assessed on fish regulation violations.
All fish have a civil value of $20/inch
